The up coming region of Montsant is the surrounding Priorat in Tarragona. It is the home of the Joan d'Anguera, a family dedicated to produce the finest wines of the appellation. It is also the home of Spain's oldest Syrah vines. 900 year old olive trees grow around the vineyard. The climate and landscape is rough, these are surroundings that make no concessions to frivolity. Great and juicy wines of great character are produced here.
