Rhum Agricole

Rhum Agricole is a style of rum which originates from the French Caribbean islands, which has spread further afield since its inception. While most rum you’ll encounter is made using molasses, a byproduct of sugar production, Rhum Agricole is made by fermenting and distilling the juice pressed from sugar cane. You can find it both aged and unaged - both are delicious, by the way. A particularly intense spirit, Rhum Agricole boasts up-front grassy notes (sugar cane is a grass, remember) and sometimes a menagerie of funky fruit notes.
